Job summary

Aberdeen School District seeks a Registered Behavior Technician to support students’ academic performance and behavior throughout the school day, aligned with IEPs and BIPs. Direct learning support, data collection, and collaboration with teachers and families are core aspects of the role.

The position requires a RBT certificate or completion within 90 days, with a strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Hold a RBT certificate or complete RBT training within 90 days of employment.
• Education credentials include high school diploma or higher with Para-Pro or college credits.
• Spanish bilingualism preferred and experience with students with behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities

• Act as a member of the Behavior Success Team to implement behavior plans.
• Develop and refine FBA and BIP for individual students.
• Follow comprehensive behavior plans to ensure safety and consistency.
• Assist students with lessons and reinforce learning objectives.
• Attend planning meetings and trainings for program alignment.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to improve student outcomes.
• Collect data for behavior and academic planning.
• Communicate progress to teachers and parents as needed.
• Maintain records and comply with regulations.
