Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students with disabilities within our district. The RBT will collaborate with BCBAs, school social workers, psychologists, and educators to implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and data-driven supports.

Responsibilities include delivering ABA services, coaching staff, and helping monitor progress through district data collection systems.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Behavior (ABA), Special Education, Child Development, Psychology or related field, OR 1–3 years of related experience.
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
  • 1+ years of related experience is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a multi-ethnic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support and coach building staff in evaluating, implementing, and monitoring specially designed instruction based on evidence-based behavioral interventions and accommodations.
  • Delivers direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to support students with disabilities requiring ABA as part of their IEP or 504 plan.
  • Implements district-based data collection systems.
  • Attends relevant in-service training and required meetings.
  • Collaborates with team members to develop and deliver monthly training sessions for school staff and special education team members.
  • May also conduct direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) assessments to support students with disabilities requiring ABA as part of their IEP or 504 plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.
