Job summary

Friendship Public Charter School is looking for a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician in Washington, DC for the 2026–2027 school year. The RBT will provide essential support to students with behavioral needs and work under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

The ideal candidate will hold a National RBT certification within 90 days, have a high school diploma or GED, and a minimum of 2 years experience with children facing emotional and behavioral challenges. Join us in fostering a world-class education for all students.

Qualifications

• Active National Certification as an RBT required within 90 days of starting.
• Minimum of 2 years experience with children with ASD or emotional disorders.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Accurately track and analyze behavioral data.
• De-escalate student behaviors using research-based strategies.
• Participate in Student Support Team and IEP meetings.
• Teach functional skills and behaviors.

Skills

Understanding of ABA principles

Education

Degree in related field (psychology, special education)
