Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking candidates to start as a Behavior Technician Trainee and progress to a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the BAYADA RBT Academy. The role focuses on working with students with Autism and IDDs in a school-based setting on Oahu, Hawaii.

No prior experience required; as an RBT Trainee you will receive comprehensive training, hands-on observation, and study guides to prepare for the RBT exam. This entry role offers weekly pay and a structured schedule.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 or a HS diploma/GED with ParaPro Praxis.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in classroom following the established service plan.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams.
• Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment.
• Document interventions and progress towards goals.
• Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan.
• Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals.
• Support school-age children to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
