Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Hawaii invites you to start as a Behavior Technician Trainee and work toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through BAYADA's RBT Academy. You’ll gain evidence-based training, hands-on supervision, and access to BAYADA University courses while supporting students in school-based settings on Oahu.

No experience is required to begin; eligible candidates include recent graduates and paraprofessionals.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR a High School Diploma/GED with Passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with students in the classroom following the established service plan.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams.
• Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment.
• Document interventions and progress towards goals.
• Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan.
• Provide training and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals.
• Support the client in interpersonal skills and building independence in their school routine.
• Support school-age children to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Education
