Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Hawaii seeks entry-level Behavior Technician Trainees to train as Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) through the BAYADA RBT Academy. You’ll work with individuals with Autism and IDD in school-based settings on Oahu, with pathways to certification after completing the academy.

Starting pay ranges from $23 to $25 per hour, with flexible scheduling (Mon-Fri, 8am-2:30pm or 2:30pm-5:30pm) and supportive, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR a High School Diploma/GED with Passage of the ParaPro Praxis (BAYADA assistance available)
• No experience necessary
• Complete RBT Academy and pass the RBT Exam to become an RBT with BAYADA!

Responsibilities

• Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams.
• Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment.
• Document interventions and progress towards goals.
• Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan.
• Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals.
• Provide support to the client in interpersonal skills, development, and maintenance of personal relationships, and building independence in their school routine.
• Supports school age children to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
