Job summary

The Kennewick School District is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join the Special Services team in Kennewick, WA. The role supports students with behavioral challenges under a BCBA, implementing IEP-driven interventions and data collection.

Hours are 6.5 per day, 180 days per year, with a salary of $22.27–$25.88 per hour and potential extra credit for college credits. Starting immediately; deadline Oct 14, 2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have AA degree or 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits or passing score on approved assessment.
• RBT Certification or completion of RBT program within six months of hire; include 40-hour training documentation.
• Ability to meet physical demands and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs.
• Provide direct instructional support under BCBA direction.
• Collect accurate data on student behavior and progress.
• Support de-escalation and crisis intervention and supervise students as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
