Position Overview: RBT Lead Staff Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Administrator and the Individual with the recruitment, hiring and training of Direct Support Professionals (DSP).
- Assist the Administrator in ensuring all programs meet licensing requirements and fire and safety codes.
- Assist the Administrator in ensuring all programs meet requirements of the Department of Developmental Disabilities and Regional Center.
- Ensure that all documentation is current and complies with regulations.
- Ensure programs are normalized to meet Individual’s choices, interests and preferences.
- Ensure programs are conducted within a safe environment.
- Supervise direct support professionals with self‑help needs, hygiene and personal care.
- Maintain up to date emergency procedures.
- Allocate personnel for shift duties and job functions.
- Act as an advocate for individuals and their families and is a mandated reporter.
- Attend all required meetings and training.
- Ensure that individual rights are respected and upheld at all times.
- Prepare monthly menus, training schedules and monthly staffing schedules.
- Assume other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
- Participate in community participation activities of interest and chosen by the Individual.
- Serve as the designated representative for receiving neighborhood complaints and reports.
- Train all staff on good neighbor and complaint policies as part of on‑site orientation for new direct care staff within the first 40 hours of service provision.
Qualifications
- Hold an active, verifiable RBT certification prior to hire.
- Have EBSH experience or behavioral health experience.
- Be a new hire (no rehires within the last 12 months).
- Be hired into an RBT or RBT Lead role at one of our program locations.
- Successfully complete 120 continuous days of employment with satisfactory performance and no disciplinary action.
