Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Escondido, CA to implement ABA-based plans under BCBA guidance. If you hold an active RBT certification, you may qualify for a $500 sign-on bonus designed to reward commitment and quality care during your initial months with us.

Responsibilities include conducting sessions, data collection, and collaboration with families and the treatment team to support skill development and daily living activities.

Qualifications

• Hold an active, verifiable RBT certification prior to hire and maintain active RBT status.
• Have EBSH experience OR behavioral health experience.
• Be a new hire (no rehire within the last 12 months).
• Be hired into an RBT or RBT Lead role at one of our program locations.
• Successful completion of 120 consecutive days of employment; satisfactory performance with no disciplinary action.

Responsibilities

• Conduct therapy sessions as directed by the BCBA.
• Use behavior intervention strategies to re-engage the client when they become dysregulated.
• Prompt and guide the client through functional skills, communication, and self-care.
• Encourage participation and independence while maintaining engagement.
• Collect data on target behaviors, skill acquisition, and incidents of challenging behavior.
• Document behaviors, interventions, and outcomes in real time for BCBA review.
• Share observations and strategies to support consistency at home.
• Report behavior patterns and responses to interventions.
• Implement safety protocols during high-behavior incidents.
• Support transitions, meal times, and other daily routines while managing behavior.
