Job summary

Golden Steps ABA, LLC in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work one-on-one with children and families in in-home and community settings. You will implement ABA treatment plans under BCBA supervision and help clients develop communication, social, and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Current RBT certification or willingness to complete RBT training and certification
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Clear communication, reliability, and a commitment to learning
• Experience working with children or individuals with autism is helpful but not required
• Ability to meet applicable background check requirements
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation if travel to client homes is required

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA services to children and young adults with autism following BCBA-developed treatment plans
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills in individualized sessions
• Record session data and complete documentation accurately and on time
• Share observations with supervising BCBA and participate in supervision meetings
• Build professional relationships with clients and families
