Job summary

Golden Steps ABA, LLC is hiring a part-time Registered Behavior Technician to work in-home with children in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area. You will receive guidance from a BCBA, collaborate with a dedicated team, and pursue ongoing professional development.

Pay ranges from $22–$26/hr for BT and $24–$32/hr for RBT, with paid training, supervision, and opportunities for advancement. Schedule is 4–7pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA services to children and young adults with autism, following BCBA-developed plans
• Use treatment strategies and behavior support plans for each client
• Record session data and complete documentation accurately and on time
• Share observations and questions with supervising BCBA
• Participate in supervision, training, and team meetings
• Build respectful, professional relationships with clients and families

At Golden Steps ABA, RBTs work directly with children and families to turn individualized treatment plans into everyday progress. You’ll receive guidance from a BCBA, collaborate with your team, and have opportunities to keep developing your skills.

What You Can Expect

• Pay: BT- $22-26/hr, RBT- $24-32/hr
• Schedule: Part-time | 4-7pm Monday-Friday
• Setting: In-home in Virginia Beach/Norfolk
• Training and support: Paid training, ongoing BCBA supervision, and professional development opportunities

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As an RBT, you’ll provide one-on-one ABA services to children and young adults with autism, following treatment plans developed by a BCBA. You’ll:

• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills through individualized sessions
• Use the treatment strategies and behavior support plans developed for each client
• Record session data and complete documentation accurately and on time
• Share observations and questions with your supervising BCBA
• Participate in supervision, training, and team meetings
• Build respectful, professional relationships with clients and families

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• Current RBT certification or willingness to complete RBT training and certification [if applicable to this opening]
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Clear communication, reliability, and a commitment to learning
• Experience working with children or individuals with autism or disabilities is helpful, but not required
• Ability to meet applicable background check requirements
• [Driver’s license and reliable transportation, if travel to client homes is required]

Experience in childcare, education, special education, or a related field can be a strong foundation for this role.
