Job summary

Galaxy ABA Therapy in Havelock, NC seeks a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work one-on-one with children in home, school, or community settings, implementing skill-building and behavior-reduction plans designed by a BCBA.

Responsibilities include data collection, session documentation, collaboration with supervisors and families, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment. Flexible schedules with some weekend options and local travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred.
• Completion of 40-hour RBT training (or willingness to complete before starting)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to engage in active play, lift up to 40 lbs, and ensure client safety
• Ability to pass background checks and provide CPR, HIPAA, and TB clearance (support provided)

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children in home, school, or community settings
• Implement skill-building and behavior-reduction plans designed by a BCBA
• Use play-based, child-led approaches to make therapy fun and engaging
• Collect data on client progress and complete session documentation
• Collaborate with supervisors, parents, and team members
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional environment
