Position Summary

The Service Technician – In House will provide service and customer support for dealer and customer trucks that are brought onto the Rosenbauer campus. They will be required to manage and execute diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and testing of Rosenbauer Fire Apparatus. They will also have documenting responsibilities in the Rosenbauer Systems. The Service Technician- In House will also be expected to oversee the shipping process and return of warranty parts in order to complete repairs.

Essential Functions

All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

• Provides service and customer support for dealer and customer trucks that are brought onto Rosenbauer campus.
• Manages and executes diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and testing of Rosenbauer Fire Apparatus, documenting in Rosenbauer Systems.
• Oversees the shipping process and return of warranty parts in order to complete repairs.
• Updates and completes the SRS ticket/issue with each repair.
• Ensures that all needed parts, forms, and documentation is fulfilled by the dealer representative.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

Knowledge, Education, And/or Experience

• Associate degree in Service Technician, Automotive Technology, Automotive Technician, Emergency Vehicle Technician, or a similar field preferred.
• Ability to obtain a CDL license with a tanker endorsement required.
• 2+ years of experience performing mechanical repairs required.
• Experience and understanding of all facets of firetruck construction and operation preferred.
• Experience working on electrical components of machines or vehicles preferred.
• Experience working with hydraulics preferred.
