This role will perform Quality Control Activities in the Renewal by Andersen (RbA) Cottage Grove, MN facility.The applicant will work on the Quality Team using standards & tools to ensure quality products are being delivered to our customers, strengthening the Andersen Brand of an industry leader in product quality.
This position will be 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform Finished Product and Workstation Audits of production lines.
Provide input and analysis within Root Cause & Corrective Actions.
Participate in a cross-functional Tier structure with Quality responsibility for metrics & actions.
Work closely with Production Associates and Quality Engineers to support manufacturing needs.
Assist in Statistical Process Control methods to enable in-control production.
Coordinate test method maintenance (equipment calibration, communicate revisions, perform capability studies as needed).
This role will involve lifting and destruction of units for investigative purposes.
80%+ of time spent in production areas.
SKILLS:
Basic knowledge of quality/lean manufacturing, quality systems, process capability analysis.
Ability to interpret & apply Window & Door Quality specifications, including visual/aesthetic standards.
Strong communication skills, including ability to summarize data and findings, present results.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
Familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and Quality Management Systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2 or more years of Quality/Manufacturing experience, preferably in window and door industry.
