General Mills’ Whitebridge Pet Brands in Joplin, Missouri is hiring a Raw Room Processor to support pet food production. Starting pay is $19.50 per hour with 8‑hour shifts and opportunities for overtime, holidays, and weekend work.

You will help with ingredient prep, processing, and quality control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to GMPs while maintaining production efficiency and accurate records.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Measure and prepare dry ingredients and proteins for production runs.
• Safely operate forming equipment to meet quality specs.
• Load formed products onto screens and organize carts for processing.
• Transfer product carts into ovens to support baking process.
• Complete daily production records accurately and on time.
• Verify ingredient lot codes and production documentation for traceability.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and training of new employees.

Your Work Schedule and Shift Information

8-hour shifts

• 1st shift: 6 to 2:30 pm
• 2nd shift: 2:15 pm to 10:45 pm
• Currently hiring for 1st and/or 2nd shift dependent upon business need
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, holidays and emergency events as needed
• Plant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As part of our manufacturing team, you will:

• Accurately measure and prepare all dry ingredients and proteins to ensure accurate batching for each production run.
• Safely operate forming equipment to produce products that meet quality and production specifications.
• Load formed products onto screens and organize carts for efficient processing.
• Transfer product carts into ovens to support the baking process.
• Complete daily production records accurately and on time.
• Verify ingredient lot codes and production documentation to ensure product traceability and quality compliance.
• Support efficient product changeovers and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members and production leads to achieve daily production and quality goals.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance.
• Assist in training new employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)
• 1 year of experience in a food manufacturing facility preferred
• Basic computer skills with the ability to use digital tools and systems to complete daily work tasks
• Machine operation, mechanical/technical experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
• Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
• Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
• Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)
• Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens
