General Mills in Joplin, MO is hiring for a Raw Room Processor. The role involves measuring and preparing dry ingredients and proteins, operating forming equipment, and maintaining accurate production records. Shift options include 1st and 2nd, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1 year of food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills to use digital tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.

Responsabilités

• Measure and prepare dry ingredients and proteins for each production run.
• Safely operate forming equipment to meet quality and production specs.
• Load formed products onto screens and organize carts for processing.
• Transfer product carts into ovens to support baking.
• Complete daily production records accurately and on time.
• Verify ingredient lot codes and production documentation for traceability.
• Support efficient changeovers and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Collaborate with team to achieve daily production and quality goals.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Your Work Schedule and Shift Information

8-hour shifts

1st shift: 6 to 2:30 pm

2nd shift: 2:15 pm to 10:45 pm

Currently hiring for 1st and/or 2nd shift dependent upon business need

Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, holidays and emergency events as needed

Plant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Accurately measure and prepare all dry ingredients and proteins to ensure accurate batching for each production run
• Safely operate forming equipment to produce products that meet quality and production specifications
• Load formed products onto screens and organize carts for efficient processing
• Transfer product carts into ovens to support the baking process
• Complete daily production records accurately and on time
• Verify ingredient lot codes and production documentation to ensure product traceability and quality compliance
• Support efficient product changeovers and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members and production leads to achieve daily production and quality goals
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
• Assist in training new employees

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)
• 1 year of experience in a food manufacturing facility preferred
• Basic computer skills with the ability to use digital tools and systems to complete daily work tasks
• Machine operation, mechanical/technical experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
• Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
• Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
• Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)
• Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens
