Job summary

Panhandle Products in Dumas, TX is seeking a Milk Shift Supervisor to oversee raw milk receiving operations during the assigned shift in a cheese and whey manufacturing facility. You will ensure safe, efficient receipt, storage, and transfer of raw milk while maintaining schedules and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Dairy Science, Food Science or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in food manufacturing, process engineering, or quality systems.
• Experience with raw milk receiving operations, dairy processing, or liquid food systems preferred.
• Proficiency in interpreting analytical results (moisture, pH, salt, protein) and applying them to process adjustments.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot processing issues and work under pressure.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and production software.
• Ability to analyze production data and make operational decisions; punctual and detail oriented.
• Excellent communication and safety culture adherence; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all raw milk receiving activities during the assigned shift.
• Coordinate unloading of milk tankers with sampling, testing, and documentation.
• Maintain FIFO inventory in silos and monitor levels with production.
• Lead shift meetings, schedule staffing, and train staff on SOPs, GMPs, HACCP, and safety.
• Drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
