Job summary

Qnity in Newark, DE is seeking a Raw Material Quality and Supplier Management Engineer to join CMPT. This on-site role focuses on quality requirements for raw materials and supplier collaboration, with 10-30% travel to supplier sites.

You will lead qualification activities, monitor supplier performance, and drive improvements in quality systems while coordinating with global teams to ensure supply security and robust root-cause investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, quality or continuous improvement engineering.
• Experience in semiconductor, specialty chemicals or pharma industries.
• Experience collaborating with customers or suppliers on development or problem-solving.
• Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, Six-Sigma; JMP or Minitab proficiency.
• Strong PM, multitasking and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 10–30% to supplier sites.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain quality requirements for raw materials used in CMPT manufacturing.
• Set critical process control parameters for raw material production with stakeholders.
• Align raw material supply plans with global strategy.
• Oversee qualification planning, trial execution, final reports, and supply security.
• Monitor supplier performance with audits, meetings, and improvement activities.
• Understand supplier processes and develop raw material FMEA with process improvements.
• Drive supplier quality improvements including change management and SPC/SQC programs.
• Support troubleshooting of material issues and root cause investigations.
• Develop mitigation strategies including second sourcing opportunities.
• Represent the company in communications with customers and suppliers.
• Present results to technical teams and management.
• Maintain accountability and report progress regularly.
