Job summary

Tory Burch in New York is seeking a Materials Assistant to support the Raw Materials team, interfacing with Design and PD to handle daily RM activities across NY, China, and HK. This is a 6-month assignment with an hourly pay range of $29–$31, reporting to Raw Materials Management in NY.

You will organize the raw material library, assist with development trials and color standards, label and file fabric headers, and facilitate movement of references to support ongoing design and development

Qualifications

• BS/BA/BFA degree required or equivalent.
• Materials related development experience a plus.
• Strong collaborative, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a fluid, fast-paced, multi-channel environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the raw material library.
• Support RM team by keeping development trials and approval records filed.
• Assist labeling, shipping, and filing of seasonal Color Master references.
• Collaborate with CFT to maintain updated color standards.
• Assist Design meetings prep with boards, bins, and racks.
• Coordinate labeling and pricing information for fabric headers.
• Move material references between floors to support development and reviews.
• Monitor tracking of development packages into the NY office.
• Arrange daily shipments to mills, tanneries, and HK/DG offices.
