Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC is expanding its manufacturing facility and seeking a Raw Material Utility to support packaging and production operations.

Responsibilities include operating palletising equipment, tracking pallet data, and ensuring materials are staged for shifts. Candidates should have food safety awareness, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and forklift certification on day one. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Understanding of food safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer and data entry skills for tracking and monitoring equipment performance.
• Forklift experience and the ability to obtain a certification on day one.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while staying organised and detail‑oriented.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast‑paced, production environment.
• Spanish‑speaking preferred but not required, to support diverse team communication.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety standards to maintain a zero‑accident culture on the production floor.
• Operate and adjust robotic palletisers and production equipment, ensuring proper programming for new products and specifications.
• Accurately track and enter pallet data into our data collection systems and complete inventory control logs.
• Review production schedules, move pallets from the production area to the warehouse, and ensure materials are staged for the next shift.
• Ensure labeling and barcoding are correct and address any packaging quality issues with attention to detail.
