Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking a Raw Material Utility to join our production team. This hands-on role focuses on material handling, operating palletizing equipment, and supporting packaging operations to keep production running smoothly.

You will follow safety standards, enter pallet data, move pallets to the warehouse, ensure correct labeling and barcoding, and keep work areas clean and well-maintained. Spanish-speaking is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer and data entry skills for tracking equipment performance.

Job description

At Utz Quality Foods, we have expanded our Kings Mountain, NC manufacturing facility and looking for a dedicated Raw Material Utility to join our team. This hands-on role will involve material handling, operating palletizing equipment, and supporting our packaging operations to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety standards to maintain a zero-accident culture on the production floor.
• Operate and adjust robotic palletizers and production equipment, ensuring proper programming for new products and specifications.
• Accurately track and enter pallet data into our data collection systems and complete inventory control logs.
• Review production schedules, move pallets from the production area to the warehouse, and ensure materials are staged for the next shift.
• Ensure labeling and barcoding are correct and address any packaging quality issues with attention to detail.
• Ensure that equipment and work areas are cleaned and well-maintained.

Requirements

• Understanding of food safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer and data entry skills for tracking and monitoring equipment performance.
• Forklift experience and the ability to obtain a certification on day one.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while staying organized and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, production environment.
• Spanish-speaking preferred but not required, to support diverse team communication.
