Job summary

Sysco Specialty Meat Group is seeking a QA-focused professional to implement and support FSQA raw material audit programs at a meat group location. You will assess quality attributes, submit supplier claims, and collaborate with FSQA, Merchandising, and Accounting to resolve issues and train staff.

The role requires 1–3 years of meat/seafood QA experience, strong English communication, and detail-oriented inspection of raw materials against specifications.

Qualifications

• High School equivalent education with some post high school education preferred.
• One to 3 years meat and/or seafood industry experience at a federal CFIA/FDA meat and/or seafood processing plant (as appropriate).
• Knowledge of meat, poultry and/or seafood products including product specifications.
• Experience as a Quality Assurance or Quality Control Technician in a meat or seafood processing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Physically and visually assess quality attributes of raw materials against supplier or governmental specifications.
• Use email and electronic monitoring system to submit claims to suppliers for non-conforming products.
• Follow up with suppliers on claims and ensure claims are paid.
• Assist in Employee Training of FSQA Programs, Policies and Procedures.
