Job summary

Sysco seeks a QA professional to implement FSQA raw material audit support and evaluation programs to ensure raw material compliance at a Sysco Specialty Meat Group location. You will assess quality attributes, submit claims to suppliers for nonconforming products, follow up on claims, and assist in training staff on FSQA policies and procedures, collaborating with FSQA, Merchandising and Accounting teams.

Requirements include a High School diploma with 1–3 years meat/seafood QA experience;

Qualifications

• High School equivalent education; some post high school education preferred.
• Experience in meat and/or seafood QA at a federal CFIA/FDA plant is desirable.
• Knowledge of meat, poultry, seafood products and product specifications.

Responsibilities

• Physically and visually assess quality attributes of raw materials against specifications.
• Submit claims to suppliers for non-conforming products; follow up on claims.
• Assist FSQA staff and train employees on FSQA policies and procedures.
