Job summary

Sysco is seeking support for FSQA raw material audit programs at a Sysco Specialty Meat Group location. The role involves evaluating raw materials for color, size, defects, and conformance to supplier specifications, and submitting supplier claims when standards are not met.

The position also supports training of FSQA staff and works closely with FSQA, Merchandising and Accounting to ensure proper claim resolution. A high school diploma and 1–3 years of meat/seafood experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some post-high-school education preferred.
• One to 3 years meat/seafood industry experience at a CFIA/FDA plant desirable.
• Knowledge of meat, poultry and/or seafood products; understanding of product specifications.

Responsibilities

• Physically and visually assess quality attributes of raw materials against specifications.
• Submit claims to suppliers on products not meeting specs using email/electronic monitoring.
• Follow up with suppliers on claims and assist FSQA training of staff.
