Job Description

As the Rate Filing Analyst, you will be responsible for managing key projects, strategizing, collaborating, and preparing rate filings for a variety of products, including but not limited to Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, Commercial Property, General Liability, Businessowners, and Commercial Multi-Peril. Your role will involve working with pricing models and ensuring all filings comply with regulatory requirements.

Accountabilities:

1. Gathers data and prepares exhibits containing premium and claim statistics for regulatory agencies. Prepares error-free filing forms, exhibits, memos, and supporting materials.
2. Develops rate proposals, calculates policyholder impacts, and provides rate level indications to support filings.
3. Collaborates with business partners to shape filing strategies and ensure successful rate implementation.
4. Assembles comprehensive filing packages for regulatory submissions.
5. Stays informed on industry best practices and develops tools for rate impact analysis.
6. Addresses regulatory inquiries by conducting analyses and collaborating with partners, providing strategic recommendations.
7. Ensures tools and processes deliver accurate and consistent results; suggests improvements.
8. Performs other related work as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
• Experience in insurance, underwriting, actuarial analysis, or rate filings preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance regulations and rate filing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Compensation

• $59,400 - $99,000 plus bonus, depending on experience.
• In certain states, $65,400 - $109,000 plus bonus.
