As the Rate Filing Analyst, you will be responsible for managing key projects, strategizing, collaborating, and preparing rate filings for a variety of products, including but not limited to Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, Commercial Property, General Liability, Business Owners, and Commercial Multi-Peril. Your role will involve working with pricing models and ensuring all filings comply with regulatory requirements.

Accountabilities

  • Gather data and prepare exhibits containing premium and claim statistics for regulatory agencies. Prepare error-free state filing forms, exhibits, memos, and supporting materials.
  • Develop rate proposals, calculate policyholder impacts, prepare filing exhibits, and provide rate level indications to support filings.
  • Collaborate with business partners to shape filing strategies and ensure successful rate implementation.
  • Assemble comprehensive filing packages, including transmittal forms, exhibits, and documentation for submissions.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and develop tools for rate impact analysis and other exhibits.
  • Address regulatory inquiries by conducting analyses, researching, and collaborating. Provide strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure tools and processes deliver accurate and efficient results. Identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions.
  • Perform other related work as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience in insurance, underwriting, actuarial analysis, or rate filings preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance regulations and rate filing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software (SQL knowledge is a plus).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation

  • $59,400 - $99,000 depending on experience, plus bonus eligibility.
  • In certain states (CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, PA): $65,400 - $109,000, plus bonus.
