The operator will communicate with maintenance teams, ensure proper material handling with forklifts, and uphold all safety policies while supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced recycling facility.

Qualifications

• Must have strong forklift skills.
• Experience with heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
• Strong communication across teams and safety-focused mindset.
• Capacity to operate forklifts and related equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and operational difficulties.
• Assist with scheduled maintenance activities and proactive maintenance efforts.
• Load feed hoppers and move products using forklifts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area.
• Keep equipment clean and orderly per safety regulations.
• Perform daily housekeeping to ensure a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Follow LO TO and PPE policies; ensure shifts run over 80%.
• Minimize downtime and notify maintenance of issues.
