Job summary

AstraZeneca Rare Disease is seeking a Medical Science Liaison for Rare Neurology serving the Southeast region across AL, GA, MS, and LA. This field-based role requires strong scientific communication, HCP relationship management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support medical strategy.

The MSL will travel regularly, build KOL networks, provide balanced clinical information, and contribute to research and HEOR discussions, with a home-based office and 70% travel expectation.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor's degree.
• At least 2+ years direct patient care or clinical experience.
• MD/PhD/PharmD in biological sciences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages HCP relationships, profiles engageable HCPs and centers of excellence.
• Gathers and disseminates scientific information to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrates knowledge of real-world evidence and HEOR.
• Supports externally sponsored research and clinical trials as appropriate.
• Travels 70% within AL, GA, MS, LA territory; home-based office.
