Job summary

Amgen in Southern California seeks a Rare Disease Key Account Manager specializing in Rheumatology and Nephrology to deepen access and accelerate patient care. You will partner with health systems, clinics, infusion centers, and other sites of care to unlock barriers, optimize buy-and-bill operations, and expand the rare disease portfolio across assigned accounts.

The role requires strong account management, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership, with travel ~40–60%.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Master’s, Bachelor’s, Associate’s or High School with extensive sales/account management experience.
• Experience in rare disease, specialty therapeutics, or infusion/buy-and-bill preferred.
• Strong business acumen, executive communication, and cross-functional collaboration required.

Responsibilities

• Expand access to Rare Disease therapies in Southern California accounts.
• Develop and execute account plans aligned to customer priorities.
• Lead contracting opportunities and ensure compliant negotiations.
• Support site readiness and buy-and-bill optimization across clinics and infusion centers.
• Provide field insights and monitor performance with cross-functional teams.
