Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Propulsion R&D Technician (Raptor) to join the Raptor R&D lab, focusing on rapid prototyping and testing of rocket hardware. You will assemble, test, and calibrate components and work with engineers across disciplines to troubleshoot and iterate on designs.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, a fast-paced mindset, and the ability to work autonomously on multiple projects while maintaining high build quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with aerospace hardware assembly or mechanical systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with data and control systems or instrumentation is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, and fabricate hardware.
• Build and test rocket components such as valves, regulators, and actuators.
• Perform assembly and integration of components, engines, and test rigs.
• Conduct pneumatic and hydraulic pressurized testing, including leak checks and proof testing.
• Maintain lab organization and ensure equipment calibration.
