Job summary

Trinity Health Livingston in Brighton, MI, seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Rapid Response / SWAT Team on a 12-hour night shift (0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week). The RN will respond to deteriorating patients, stabilize care, and coordinate with the medical team on inpatient units, including ICU capabilities.

The role emphasizes rapid assessment, IV placement, documentation in Epic, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and care managers. Part-time benefits apply from day one.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan Nursing License.
• BSN preferred or commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years.
• Two+ years varied nursing experience (ICU/CCU/ED).
• BLS and ACLS certification current.

Responsibilities

• Admissions: initiate admission orders and profile.
• Documentation: record in Epic and other forms.
• IV Therapy: insert and monitor IVs as needed.
• Vascular Access: manage ports/PICC line care.
• Rapid Response: assess, stabilize, and monitor patients on acute units.
• Communication: relay information to physicians.
• Education: train staff on Rapid Response procedures.
• Care Coordination: coordinate complex medical care.
• Patient Transfer: assist transfers to higher care levels.
• Collaboration: work with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and case managers.
• Patient Experience: prioritize patient-centered care.
• Knowledge: maintain clinical knowledge for rapid response.
