Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse to join its rapid response team. The role responds to rapid response calls, assists in the ED during high census, and supports nurses across the hospital to stabilize patients.

This full-time position requires a Kansas RN license (or compact), BLS and ACLS, and 2 years of ER/ICU or leadership experience. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Two years of ER/ICU or equivalent leadership experience.
• Kansas RN license or compact licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Respond to rapid response calls, alerts, and code blue arrests hospital-wide.
• Assist ED during high census or high acuity to stabilize patients.
• Serve as a resource, educator, and support for nurses across the hospital.
• Perform preventative rounding on high-risk patients to assess monitoring needs.
