Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Rapid Response Team at the New Brunswick campus. The role supports critical care outreach during night shifts, rotating weekends and holidays, with a 24-hour weekly schedule.

The ideal candidate holds an active NJ RN license, BSN, and NIHSS, plus BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications. Minimum 2+ years in critical care is preferred. RN will collaborate across departments to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Active NJ Registered Nurse license required.
• BSN required.
• NIHSS required.
• BLS & ACLS required.
• At least 2+ years of critical care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the Nurse Practice Act.
• Ensure safety and apply evidence-based practice.
• Report safety issues and hazards promptly.
• Understand the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct task delegation within the care team.
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to address patient needs.
