Job summary

Trinity Health Livingston in Brighton, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Rapid Response / SWAT Team on a full-time night shift. You will respond to deteriorating patients, support stabilization, and provide care per hospital standards.

The role requires BSN within five years or current BSN, ongoing ICU/ED experience preferred, and active BLS/ACLS certifications. Opened in 2026, the hospital offers modern inpatient services, including ICU capabilities, with a 36-hour work week and weekend

Qualifications

• Current Michigan Nursing License.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN within five years from hire date.
• Two or more years of recent varied nursing experience (ICU/CCU/Emergency preferred).
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Expertise in peripheral IV placement and rapid response criteria assessment.

Responsibilities

• Admissions: enter and initiate admission orders and profile.
• Documentation: record in Epic and other forms.
• IV Therapy: assess, insert and monitor IV issues.
• Vascular Access: access and dress ports/PICC lines as needed.
• Rapid Response: stabilize and monitor patients during emergencies.
• Communication: relay information to treating physicians.
• Education: train staff on Rapid Response policy and procedures.
• Care Coordination: coordinate complex medical care.
• Patient Transfer: assist transfers to higher care levels.
• Collaboration: communicate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, case managers.
• Patient Experience: maintain patient-centered care focus.
• Knowledge: maintain up-to-date clinical competencies for critical care.
