Job summary

Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls is seeking a qualified Behavioral Health clinician to evaluate and treat individuals in acute crisis via phone, in person, or video. The role requires rapid assessments, multitasking, and extensive crisis intervention skills across adults, seniors, and youth.

You will handle inquiries, schedule assessments, perform psychosocial and risk assessments, and assist with referrals and community services while collaborating with emergency and medical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health or higher.
• Master's degree in Behavioral Health must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiry calls in a timely fashion and schedule assessments.
• Complete psychosocial assessments including suicide/homicide risk assessment.
• Manage Behavioral Health Center emergency room and meet EMTALA guidelines.
• Coordinate referrals and provide crisis intervention and case management.
• Provide mental health support services and EAP assessment/counseling.
