Job summary

Valley Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Rapid Response Team Registered Nurse (RN) for the Full Time Days on-site. You will provide expert critical care when seconds count, assess unstable patients, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes.

This role targets experienced ICU nurses who mentor others and are passionate about patient safety, evidence-based practice, and rapid clinical response across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years ICU (Critical Care) RN experience.
• Current California RN license.
• ADN degree; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Rapid Response Team education and skills validation annually.

Responsibilities

• Respond rapidly to patients showing deterioration outside ICU.
• Assess and stabilize patients with acute changes.
• Facilitate one-on-one management until stabilization or transfer.
• Assist with emergency procedures and Code Blue responses.
• Transport unstable patients to procedures or higher care.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing leadership on treatment plans.
• Document Rapid Response activities in the EHR.
• Mentor staff and support clinical education.
