Job summary

UCI Health, part of the University of California, Irvine, seeks a Rapid Response Team (RRT) Registered Nurse to coordinate Code Blue and rapid response activities, prioritizing patient care in ICU/ED settings.

Responsibilities include advanced nursing interventions, data collection, and education of staff. Must hold a CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, and a Bachelor's degree; CCRN/TCRN preferred and required for some roles.

Qualifications

• CA RN license (active) and maintain current
• BLS and ACLS certifications up to date
• CCR N or TCRN required upon hire and maintained
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher for external candidates
• Minimum 5 years of recent ICU or ED nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years in an acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Code Blue and Rapid Response Team assessments and prioritization
• Respond to rapid response alerts and provide urgent nursing care and interventions
• Develop practice guidelines, collect data, and educate staff on rapid response care
