Job summary

Lynx EMS in Ohio is seeking an EMT to deliver emergency and basic medical care, respond to calls, assess patients, and safely transport them to medical facilities. You will follow protocols, document care, and maintain equipment while upholding patient confidentiality and compassionate service.

The role involves ongoing training, competency assessments, and collaboration with dispatchers and healthcare teams in fast-paced environments across a variety of emergency and non-emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency medical calls.
• Assess patients and provide appropriate basic emergency medical care.
• Perform CPR, first aid, bleeding control, and other interventions within EMT scope.
• Monitor and document patients' vital signs and condition throughout care and transportation.
• Safely transport patients to hospitals or other designated facilities.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, dispatchers, healthcare providers, and other emergency personnel.
• Complete accurate and timely patient care reports and required documentation.
• Inspect, clean, maintain, and restock ambulance and equipment.
• Follow established medical protocols, safety procedures, and organizational policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate care.
• Participate in required training, continuing education, and competency assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
