Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current EMT certification/license required for the state of Ohio.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency medical calls.
• Assess patients and determine appropriate emergency care.
• Provide basic life support (BLS), first aid, and other services within the scope of EMT certification.
• Monitor and document patients’ vital signs and medical conditions.
• Safely lift, move, and transport patients to medical facilities.
• Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment.
• Ensure the ambulance is clean, stocked, and ready for service.
• Complete accurate patient care reports and required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, dispatchers, and healthcare professionals.
• Follow medical protocols, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate, professional care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
