Job summary

USA Health is seeking an experienced Critical Care/ Rapid Response clinician to provide expert assessment and intervention for hospitalized patients showing clinical deterioration. You will respond to RRT activations, support early identification of decline, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to prevent adverse events and ensure timely escalation of care.

Qualifications

• RN license in Alabama is required.
• Experience in critical care settings preferred.
• Ability to respond to rapid response activations and escalate appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Rapid Response activations and Code Blue events hospital-wide.
• Identify early deterioration using scoring and clinical judgment to intervene.
• Serve as a critical care resource to bedside staff and promote evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, respiratory therapy, and leadership for timely escalation to higher levels of monitoring.
• Support patient safety initiatives and participate in quality improvement efforts.
• Provide real-time coaching and education to staff on deterioration recognition and emergency protocols.
• Document Rapid Response interventions accurately and communicate outcomes to teams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance related to emergency response and escalation protocols.
