Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul CARES in Tampa, FL seeks a Peer Mentor to provide outreach, pre-screening, and mentoring for the Rapid Rehousing program. You will help participants access housing and community resources and support the Case Management team with assessments and discharge planning.

The role emphasizes client-centered support, data documentation, and collaboration with community partners in a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in human services is a plus.
• Must pass Level II background screening.
• Proficient with data management and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support, mentoring, and coaching to RRH participants.
• Conduct outreach and pre-screening for eligibility.
• Coordinate screening with Case Management team.
• Assist participants in accessing community resources and housing options.
• Document participation, progress, and services.
