Job summary

Wlgroup in Norfolk, USA, seeks a hands-on software developer to rapidly build digital workflow prototypes and pilots on approved platforms. You will work directly with process owners and users to understand current flows and translate them into MVPs.

Candidates bring a university degree in CS or related field and have at least 12 months of hands-on development within the last 24 months, plus 2+ years in low-code/no-code outside the MS stack with real users. Fluent professional English required.

Qualifications

Hands-on delivery of digital applications or prototypes built personally.
At least twelve months within the last twenty-four spent doing that development yourself.
Experience in two rapid-development platforms outside the Microsoft stack, with at least two solutions you built yourself and at least one with real users.
Hands-on development across at least two distinct rapid-development platforms.
Fluent professional English.
Experience restricted to directing, supervising, advising, architecting or owning the product does not meet the requirement — hands-on build is required.

Responsibilities

Rapid hands-on development of digital workflow prototypes and pilots on approved platforms.
Work directly with process owners and operational users to understand current workflows.
Document current and desired workflow in detail to define roles, states, decision points and exchanges.
Turn operational needs into MVP prototypes that can be built, demonstrated and iterated quickly.
Design and configure structured data capture, roles, states, business rules, validation, routing, approvals, notifications and status tracking.
Integrate prototypes with approved data sources through interfaces, databases, web services or structured file exchange.
Write lightweight scripts or components when configurable tooling alone will not prove the idea.
Use approved AI-assisted development tooling where it speeds up prototyping.
Run user testing and pilots, then iterate based on observations and data.
Measure impact against baselines: cycle time, manual effort, data completeness.
Name security, data management, licensing, hosting and sustainment constraints early.
