Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) in Virginia is seeking a Digital Workflow Prototyper & Citizen Developer to perform onsite rapid development of low-code workflow prototypes and pilots out of Norfolk.

Work with process owners and analysts to map workflows, define MVPs, configure data capture, and build integrations via APIs, databases, and web services to reduce manual steps. You will test with users, measure improvements, address security and scalability concerns, and help transition

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree; relevant experience must include at least two of the following: low-code/no-code or configurable-application development, workflow automation, software or web application development, business-process digitization, or rapid prototyping/minimum-viable-product development.
• Demonstrated recent experience personally developing digital applications, workflows, prototypes, or pilots from requirements identification through development, testing, user feedback, and operational use; must demonstrate at least 1 year within the last 2 of recurring hands-on development and at least one personally developed solution used by an identified user group within the last 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital workflow proofs of concept and pilots using approved low-code/no-code platforms.
• Collaborate with process owners and analysts to map workflows and translate needs into MVPs.
• Configure data capture, business rules, and integrations with APIs, databases, and web services for prototype testing.
• Conduct user testing, gather feedback, and iteratively improve prototypes to reduce manual steps and improve adoption.
