Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare is hiring an Engagement Specialist to support outreach, screenings, and referrals in a fast-paced rapid access setting. You will coordinate with community partners and in-house staff to triage clients and schedule assessments.

The role emphasizes de-escalation, information provision, and careful data entry in EMR systems, with a focus on timely access to care and adherence to state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or equivalent (3 years of relevant work/education may substitute).
• Current QMHA certification through MHACBO or able to obtain within 30 days.
• Full professional fluency in English; strong written and oral communication.
• Knowledge of Medicaid/OHA regulations and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with outreach, screenings, and scheduling for mental health, SUD, and medication management services.
• Process referrals from partners and in-house staff; track status and report outcomes.
• Triage clients with clinical staff to determine follow-up steps.
• Manage client flow and admissions with strong customer service and de-escalation as needed.
