Job summary

Thompson Hine LLP, a growing AmLaw 200 firm, is hiring its first Rankings, Awards & Media Relations Coordinator to own the recognition program. The role supports awards, directories, and surveys across multiple offices including Columbus, Chicago, Cincinnati, and Washington, D.C.

You will draft submissions, manage calendars, and coordinate with attorneys and marketing colleagues. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in law firm marketing/communications, excellent writing, and strong project

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of law firm marketing/communications experience.
• Knowledge of legal directories and awards (e.g., Chambers, The Legal 500, The American Lawyer).
• Excellent writing and editing skills with strong project management.
• Ability to work extended hours to meet deadlines.
• Experience partnering with attorneys and business development teams.

Responsibilities

• Manages strategy and execution for awards, surveys, and directory submissions.
• Owns the Directories & Rankings calendar and tracking to ensure visibility.
• Researches new opportunities and recommends participation to stakeholders.
• Conducts market research and provides data-driven insights.
• Designs, writes, and edits submissions; coordinates interviews with researchers.
• Maintains submissions database and analyzes trends for leadership.
• Develops communications announcing rankings and awards.
