Job summary

Thompson Hine LLP is seeking a Rankings, Awards & Media Relations Coordinator to shape and own the firm’s recognition program across multiple offices, including Washington, D.C. and Chicago.

You will manage submissions for major directories, build timelines, and coordinate interviews while working with attorneys and marketing colleagues to amplify results. The role requires strong writing, project management, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of law firm marketing/communications experience.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Strong project management and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with rankings, directories, and award submissions.
• Ability to meet critical deadlines and work extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage strategy and execution for awards, surveys and directory submissions.
• Own the Directories & Rankings calendar and submission tracking.
• Research and evaluate new opportunities; recommend participation.
• Draft compelling matter narratives and practice group content.
• Maintain relationships with editors, publishers, and researchers.
• Coordinate interviews and prep materials for survey researchers.
• Maintain and analyze submissions data to inform strategy.
• Develop internal and external communications announcing rankings.
