Job Summary :

Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall seeks a friendly and energetic Bartender to join our dynamic team. As a Bartender, you will provide exceptional customer service by serving food and drinks, ensuring guests have a great experience, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, have excellent communication skills, a trendy image, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and Serve Drinks Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes.
• Customer Service Provide friendly and attentive service to guests.
• Cash Handling & POS Operation Process transactions, handle cash, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Bar Setup & Cleanup Stock the bar with necessary supplies and ensure cleanliness before and after shifts.
• Check Identification Verify the age of customers before serving alcohol.
• Maintain Liquor Inventory Monitor stock levels and communicate restocking needs.
• Follow Health & Safety Regulations Adhere to food safety, alcohol service, and sanitation guidelines.
• Upselling & Suggestive Selling Recommend drinks, specials, and upsell premium liquors to boost sales.
• Handle Difficult Situations Address intoxicated guests, resolve conflicts, and follow proper procedures for over-serving.
• Collaborate with Team Work effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service.
• Create Signature Cocktails If applicable, contribute creative drink ideas to enhance the menu.
• Keep a Clean and Organized Bar Wipe down counters, clean glassware, and maintain an appealing bar area.
• Stay Knowledgeable About Drinks Understand classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits to make recommendations.
• Follow Opening & Closing Procedures Complete all assigned tasks at the start and end of the shift.
• Engage with Guests Create a welcoming atmosphere by interacting with customers and building rapport.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in Bartending and cocktail serving or similar role preferred.
• Must be at least 18 to serve alcohol (if applicable by local law).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent guest service skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of basic bartending and cocktail preparation.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• ServSafe Alcohol Certification (or similar responsible alcohol service certification) is a plus.
