Job summary

CARC, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant for Washington Ranch in New Mexico. The role supports daily operations, performs maintenance, repairs, painting, landscaping, and irrigation tasks while ensuring the property remains well-maintained.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, be over 21 for vehicle insurance, and possess strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities. Prior maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Over 21 and able to be approved by our vehicle insurance company.
• Previous maintenance or related field experience preferred.
• Able to operate and maintain various tools and equipment.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs; landscaping experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical strength and stamina for manual tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of buildings, fences, equipment, and vehicles.
• Perform routine maintenance such as painting, landscaping, and cleaning.
• Assist with irrigation and watering systems as needed.
• Keep ranch grounds well-maintained (mowing, weeding, trimming).
• Conduct regular inspections and address maintenance needs promptly.
• Document maintenance activities and manage inventory.
• Follow safety procedures and keep a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with Washington Ranch Director and team for smooth operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
