Job summary
Samsung Electronics America is seeking a senior engineer to drive LTE/5G RAN performance improvements across DU, RU, CU and AU. You will evaluate KPIs, conduct trials, tune parameters, and present detailed reports to customers and internal teams.
You will troubleshoot 4G/5G product performance, resolve issues within defined SLAs, and collaborate with HQ development and cross-functional groups to ensure optimal network design and deployment. Travel up to 10% domestically.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience
- Experience in telecommunications engineering and 4G/5G call processing including RRC, S1-MME, S1-U, X2, RLC, MAC, PHY protocols
- Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and ability to work without sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Improve LTE/5G RAN performance by evaluating KPIs and conducting trials
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Samsung 4G/5G products to meet SLAs
- Lead technical discussions with customer groups and internal teams
- Collaborate with HQ and SEA to ensure performance compliance and optimal design
- Prepare reports and technical proposals for customers and stakeholders
