Samsung Electronics America is seeking a highly skilled telecom engineering professional to analyze customer requirements, design system solutions, and support RAN virtualization and EMS across distributed networks. You will collaborate with sales, R&D, and field teams to deliver robust NMS/EMS integrations and enable successful product rollouts.
The role requires 5+ years in telecom engineering, strong experience with RAN/NMS/EMS, OpenStack/Kubernetes, and 3GPP architectures.
Position Summary Role and Responsibilities Responsible for analyzing the customer requirements, converting them into system requirements and capturing detailed design for the development team. Aid in product & feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product & SW releases. Perform detailed analysis of 4G/5G distributed and virtualized RAN, Network Management solution and professional services, both individually and in a team environment Wireless Call Protocols. Responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting the issues. Provide subject matter expert technical support in the pre-sales process and create compelling technical and commercial solutions to help achieve the assigned sales goals and business objectives. Translate and communicate complex technical design considerations between the Samsung sales team and carriers' network business. Work closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross-functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new product rollouts and developments.
Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or any telecom/engineer related job titles. Applicant must have 5 years of experience in the following:
20% domestic travel required to visit US customer locations.
